Job Title: Educational Associate - Opportunity Culture

The Baltimore City Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Associate - Opportunity Culture to join our team. This role will play a critical part in the implementation and monitoring of the Opportunity Culture methodology and approach in our schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the district OC team to develop and implement the OC design and implementation process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with teacher leaders, principals, and district departments to ensure effective implementation of the OC methodology.
  • Develop and manage OC candidate pools and folders for school leaders to use during school-level selection.
  • Support school-level selection processes to match candidates with OC roles.
  • Develop and facilitate collaborative learning sessions and provide systems and operations support as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the OC implementation and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with finance, payroll, and compensation teams to ensure that schools budget the necessary funds for OC implementation.
  • Use implementation data to facilitate school-based OC redesign plans as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Valid Maryland State Department of Education Standard Professional Certificate and appropriate professional licensure.
  • Five years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong customer service skills to support internal and external customers.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening, emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to use discretion, maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, establishing and maintaining collaborative professional relationships.
  • Proficiency with use of computers (desktop, laptop, tablet).
