Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita Inc. As a key member of our dialysis center team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients receiving treatment for end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
- Assisting with hemodialysis machine setup and operation.
- Educating patients on kidney disease-related topics and promoting healthy habits.
- Collaborating with a cross-functional team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership, to provide holistic care to our patients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to work long hours (some shifts may exceed 12 hours) on your feet.
- Comfort working around blood and needles.
- A willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
- Healthcare experience, preferably in dialysis or a related field, although not required.
