About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Direct Support Professional to join our team at Day Spring Inc.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to our residents, including assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, and transportation. You will also be expected to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, participate in ongoing training and education, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, and transportation.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, including progress notes, incident reports, and medication logs.
  3. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance knowledge and skills related to caregiving and resident care.
  4. Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues, management, and residents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, nursing) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 21 years of age and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software and hardware, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
