Renal Medicine Specialist

The Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology at Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated renal medicine specialist to fill a faculty position.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver consultative patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, providing comprehensive medical services to patients with various kidney-related conditions.
- Support research initiatives within the division and department, contributing to the advancement of nephrology knowledge and practices.
- Rounding duties will include general consultative and dialysis services, ensuring seamless patient care across different hospital settings.
- Participate in specialty clinics, journal clubs, and patient review meetings, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals.
- Develop educational materials and provide instruction to fellows, residents, nurses, students, and other staff involved in nephrology patient care, promoting excellent training and development opportunities.
- A Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, or its equivalent.
- Board certification or eligibility in Nephrology, demonstrating expertise in this field.
- Direct experience in managing complex inpatients and outpatients, showcasing clinical competence and decision-making skills.
- A completed 2-year fellowship in nephrology, providing advanced training in this specialty.
- A valid license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- An interest in teaching and growth in an academic setting, aligning with the university's mission and values.
