Thomas Jefferson University/Jefferson Health is seeking a full-time faculty member for a Renal Pathology Specialist in the Clinical Scholar track. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to academic excellence, patient care, and cutting-edge research.

About the Role

This tenure-track position involves clinical responsibilities, resident training, medical student education, and participation in departmental conferences. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to maintain expertise in renal pathology, with additional interest or experience in GU oncologic pathology highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sign-out duties: Participate in diagnosing and signifying patient samples with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Resident training and education: Provide hands-on guidance, mentorship, and didactic instruction to residents in the Department's ACGME-accredited residency program.
  • Medical students teaching: Teach and mentor medical students in the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, promoting their growth and development as future pathologists.
  • Clinical conferences: Regularly participate in departmental conferences to discuss cases, share knowledge, and engage in peer review.
Qualifications
  • Expertise in renal pathology (medical): Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology, along with strong clinical skills and a proven track record of academic productivity.
  • Additional qualifications: Experience with diagnostic molecular pathology, a commitment to academic scholarship, and the ability to pursue independent and translational research opportunities within the department.
  • Eligibility requirements: Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted Pennsylvania license.
Estimated Salary

$240,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, training, and academic record. The actual salary may vary based on specific circumstances.
