Centralia School District - Educational Leadership Coordinator

The Educational Leadership Coordinator serves as a pivotal instructional and operational figure within the educational community, essential for enhancing student success through effective leadership.

In partnership with the Principal, this role is instrumental in fostering a culture characterized by high expectations, diligence, accountability, recognition of achievements, and enjoyment for all stakeholders, including staff, students, and families.

Aligned with the district's strategic objectives and under the guidance of the Principal, the Educational Leadership Coordinator leads designated school teams towards improved educational outcomes. This is achieved through continuous training, coaching, constructive feedback, and support, while prioritizing instructional excellence alongside operational, safety, and policy responsibilities.


Compensation:
$126,076 - $139,165 annually + 5% responsibility stipend, contingent on experience

Work Schedule:
Eight (8) hours daily - 260 days annually

Benefits:

Includes fifteen (15) paid holidays, thirty (30) vacation days, twelve (12) sick leave days, and three (3) personal leave days; comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-term disability; Washington State retirement plan, and additional benefits as permitted under the Principal agreement.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in educational administration or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Valid Washington State Principal's Certificate
  • Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate
  • Demonstrated successful experience and training for effective administration and leadership
  • Understanding of effective instructional practices and support systems for academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs
  • Ability to cultivate a shared mission and vision for enhancing teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of regulations governing Washington State public schools
  • Strong communication skills, active listening, patience, humor, empathy, and a customer-service mindset
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making for instructional and program improvements
  • Ability to connect with students, staff, and community members respectfully and supportively
  • Willingness to engage in district and community events
  • Collaborative approach to achieving goals with colleagues, district staff, students, and families
  • Commitment to the District's vision, mission, and belief in student success
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
  • Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Experience in an educational leadership capacity

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, support, and evaluate staff to foster a high-performing faculty focused on continuous improvement and student achievement
  • Participate in the School Improvement Leadership Team (SILT) to develop and implement strategies aligned with the School Improvement Plan and District Strategic Plan
  • Promote a culture of high expectations and accountability through sound judgment and consistent support
  • Prioritize student learning through leadership actions aimed at achievement and growth
  • Create a positive educational environment in accordance with the district's Culture Code
  • Implement disciplinary procedures in line with district and state policies
  • Provide instructional leadership to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment sensitive to diverse backgrounds
  • Build strong relationships with families and community partners
  • Enhance teacher effectiveness through professional development and support
  • Model collaborative practices to ensure curriculum and instruction initiatives are student-centered and research-based
  • Engage in ongoing professional development for self-reflection and growth
  • Manage school operations as directed by the Principal
  • Prepare reports and analyses under the Principal's guidance
  • Represent the school and district at community meetings as assigned
  • Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all employment aspects
