About the Role

Lambert's Cable Splicing Company, LLC is seeking a skilled Fiber Installation Technician to join our team. As a Fiber Installation Technician, you will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our fiber optic network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone services in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to perform installations and repairs.
  • Install, setup, and configure residential networking equipment such as ONTs, routers, switches, and OTDRs.
  • Perform testing on company-issued devices and customer devices to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Drive a company vehicle between home/office, warehouse, and work sites in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Clean, maintain, and stock vehicles and equipment to ensure readiness for required duties.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and report/work order status updates in a timely manner.
Customer Service
  • Greet and interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, including responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns.
  • Review all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement.
  • Educate customers regarding product and service usage.
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States for this company.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Be comfortable working in tight spaces, such as crawl spaces or house attics.
  • Be able to climb using ladders and work using a bucket truck.
  • Have the ability to perform fusion splicing.
  • Be comfortable working in inclement weather conditions.
  • Have effective communication skills.
  • Be able to travel and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
  • Be available for on-call work.
  • Have the ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80lbs.
