Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Primary Care service line at the New London CBOC. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collect and record patient data, including vital signs and medical histories
  • Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including preparing patients and monitoring their condition
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements
  • Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
  • Full, active, current and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or District of Columbia
  • English language proficiency, as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d)
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of practical nurse experience in a primary care and outpatient setting
