Job Title: Anesthesia Associate Program Director

Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Associate Program Director to join our team. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of our SRNA educational program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programs for SRNAs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with the Chief CRNA and Clinical Director to maintain the goal of overseeing student education.
  • Provide clinical and didactic support to the School of Nurse Anesthesia student population (SRNAs).
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day clinical responsibilities required by the school and the Department of Anesthesia.
  • Act as a liaison between students, faculty, and administration.
  • Meet with students and faculty on a regular basis to discuss clinical progression and student development.
  • Direct patient care and provide preoperative evaluation of patients' readiness for surgery.
  • Develop, review, and revise educational and clinical guidelines related to SRNA education.
  • Manage, hire, and terminate SRNA staff, responsible for their evaluation, orientation, practice, and patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited master's level CRNA program.
  • Current CRNA certification.
  • Current Massachusetts license as RN with authorization to practice in the expanded role of CRNA.
  • Possesses current CRNA privileges to provide anesthesia in the clinical agency assigned.
  • Minimum 2 years of practice in all aspects of Anesthesia Nursing, including experience in a teaching hospital as faculty and/or clinical preceptor.
  • Demonstrated leadership/managerial capabilities in CRNA practice.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
