About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to join our team at the Khoury College of Arts, Media and Design. As a strategic leader, you will play a key role in managing and directing our PhD programs, ensuring the success of our students and the growth of our college.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management and Organization of PhD Programs: In coordination with the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs, you will plan, manage, and direct the PhD program operations within CAMD, including managing RA/TA assignments.
  • Student Affairs: You will work collaboratively with CAMD's graduate team, academic departments, Associate Deans, and the Dean to develop and administer academic programming for PhD programs within CAMD.
  • Recruitment and Enrollment Management: You will work closely with CAMD's graduate recruitment team to recruit students to the PhD program and coordinate with department leadership and other relevant University partners on efforts to advertise, recruit, enroll, and retain the highest number of top-quality PhD students possible.
  • Program Development: You will work closely with CAMD's graduate team and the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs to coordinate PhD course offerings at CAMD, manage the core CAMD PhD courses, and identify and coordinate TA opportunities with departmental leadership and admins.
  • Research Development: You will oversee and help improve student research activities throughout CAMD, assisting with developing and evaluating student research initiatives and opportunities, managing RA opportunities for students, and tracking all student research activities and experiences.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and program management skills.
  • Knowledge and skills required for this position are ordinarily acquired through a PhD degree, postdoctoral or similar research experience, and/or three to five years of professional experience in a University setting with student affairs, admissions, and/or faculty relations.
