Job Summary:

As a Certified Medical Assistant at Baylor Scott & White Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Family Medicine department. Under the direction of a physician, you will assist in the examination and treatment of patients, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician
• Perform routine patient testing, including electrocardiograms and blood specimen collection
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient use

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant certification from a program accredited by American Association of Medical Assistants or the American Medical Technologists
• Knowledge of medical terminology and standards of safe and accurate medical administration
• Ability to accurately document patient information and make observations of the general physical condition of the patient
