Opportunity Overview

This role will focus on cultivating and enhancing relationships with various divisions of the U.S. Military, with a primary responsibility for identifying and developing opportunities for business expansion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process, techniques, and strategies for the military and government markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage new business opportunities through research and analysis of industry events, publications, and announcements.
  • Nurture new business opportunities by arranging and driving technical exchange meetings, product demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Screen potential business partnerships by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and internal priorities.
  • Develop key business relationships in the government marketplace and drive the company's sales efforts.
  • Communicate industry intelligence throughout the company to improve the overall knowledge level of the team.
  • Lead teams to develop and deliver professional services solutions, including whitepapers, demonstrations, proposals, and other internally developed products.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Requirements
  • Advanced abilities with spreadsheet and presentation applications.
  • High degree of business acumen and organizational awareness.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform self-directed research to identify industry trends and opportunities.
  • Ability to produce business model documents and spreadsheets for evaluating potential business opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in a technical field or BA in a business-related discipline.
  • Experience in working with the military, government, and first-responder industries.
Working Conditions

May require extended work hours to meet project or customer requirements. Must be prepared to travel as required by customer and business needs. Must have the ability to travel without restriction within the United States and internationally.
