Project Director

Gorbel is a leading manufacturer of material handling and fall protection products, and we're seeking a highly skilled Project Director to join our team.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a seasoned project management professional to lead cross-functional teams in planning, executing, and completing business development and strategic initiative projects. As a Project Director, you'll facilitate weekly project review meetings, work with project teams, department management, and executive leadership to address challenges, and provide regular updates to management on project status.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead various business development and strategic initiative projects as assigned by the VP of Marketing & Innovation
• Manage projects within the triple constraints of scope, schedule, and budget
• Develop and enhance methodologies for project management, and facilitate and teach these methods to team members and others across the organization
• Develop, implement, and manage all project management tools and processes
• Collaborate with department management to secure required resources, information, and development of processes to ensure successful project completion
• Provide direction to project teams, including assignment of individual responsibilities, tasks, and technical functions, and track and share lessons learned with team members and department management
• Establish effective communications with executive management and peers regarding status of current projects
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to drive to successful project completion

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (Degree in Business or Engineering preferred)
• PMP Certification or 3+ years of relevant project management experience
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills
• Demonstrated working knowledge and teaching skills of project management
• Proven team leadership and facilitation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and Smartsheet or MS Project
• Ability to travel domestically

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
