Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the reliability and performance of general warehouse assets and production equipment.
  • Lead preventative and reactive equipment repairs, and handle high-severity downtime events.
  • Audit the quality of work and documentation of the team, and evaluate areas for improvement.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects targeting key performance indicators such as injury rates, equipment uptime, mean time to repair, and system capacity.
  • Use data to measure and lead the performance of your team.
  • Partner with Chewy Operations and Support teams to achieve business goals.
  • Coordinate third-party vendors performing work for Chewy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience running a maintenance or operations team in a warehouse or factory.
  • Experience working with material handling equipment such as conveyors and powered industrial trucks.
  • Experience using information systems and data to measure and improve key performance indicators.
  • Ability to simultaneously support multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Bonus Requirements:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience maintaining electromechanical material handling systems.
  • Experience maintaining industrial control systems.
  • Experience maintaining electrical systems.
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Compensation and Benefits:

Our salary range for this position is $83,000 - $132,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, and work location. This position is eligible for 401(k) and a new hire and annual equity grant.
