Position Overview

Treehouse is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance to lead our financial initiatives and support our growth trajectory. This pivotal role will directly report to the COO and will be essential in crafting our financial outlook, identifying growth avenues, ensuring fiscal prudence, and facilitating data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.

The responsibilities of the Director of Strategic Finance include:

  • Overseeing the FP&A function, which encompasses record maintenance, monthly closing procedures, tax management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Leading the monthly forecasting and the quarterly and annual planning activities.
  • Conducting monthly performance reviews with the executive team and department heads to assess progress against forecasts and budgets.
  • Formulating pricing strategies and establishing discount policies in collaboration with field operations and sales teams.
  • Assessing the profitability and economic feasibility of new product lines and services.
  • Preparing materials for board meetings.
  • Managing the procurement process, including selecting financial tools and negotiating contracts with key suppliers.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in consulting, banking, private equity, venture capital, or within the finance division of a venture-backed startup, ideally with exposure to the climate or electrification sectors.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and advanced analytics, along with proficiency in financial software, Excel, and data visualization tools.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
