Overview:

The Endoscopic Care Technician plays a vital role in supporting patient care within the endoscopy department. This position is responsible for the setup, upkeep, and sanitation of medical instruments and supplies, and may assist in conducting endoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:


• Adheres to the established OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Self-Leadership, Team Leadership, or Executive Leadership.

• Engages in various service-oriented tasks to facilitate direct and supportive patient care in the endoscopy sector of the surgical suite before and during endoscopic interventions.

• Expected to participate in shift rotations and be available for on-call duties.

• Proficient in maintaining sterile environments, capable of preparing cases, and assisting in endoscopic procedures.

• Familiarity with sterilization practices, aseptic protocols, and endoscopic tools is essential.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in an Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit is preferred.
  • Experience as a GI Technician is advantageous.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • GI certification from SGNA Associates is preferred.

Work Schedule:

5 Days - 8 Hours
