DaVita Inc. - Patient Care Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita Inc. Our Patient Care Technicians play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients with end-stage renal disease. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the overall success of our dialysis center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
  • Conduct patient observations, measure and record vital signs, and set up hemodialysis machines
  • Build long-term relationships with patients and their families, providing education and support on kidney dialysis-related topics
  • Collaborate with our cross-functional team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Desire to enter the healthcare field and care for others
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles
  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical and mental ability to work on your feet for extended periods
