Job Summary:

As an Endoscopy Technologist at Christus Health, you will play a vital role in the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopy department. Your responsibilities will include the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies, as well as assisting in performing invasive endoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.

• Provide various service-related activities to the delivery of direct and assistive patient care in the endoscopy service of the operating room prior to and during any endoscopic procedure.

• Rotate shifts and accept on-call assignments as required.

• Establish and maintain sterile fields, pull cases, and assist with endoscopy procedures.

• Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization concepts and methods, aseptic techniques, and endoscopy instruments.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous experience working in the Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit preferred.

• GI Tech experience preferred.

• BLS required.

• GI certification from SGNA Associates preferred.
