Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health Program Coordinator to join our team at Sacramento County CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing administrative and/or supervisory duties for contracted and/or county-operated health programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate health services relevant to the program area, including staff supervision, program development and implementation, program monitoring and evaluation, and coordination of services.
  • Develop and implement program plans, goals, and objectives, and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Build coalitions among groups with differing needs and objectives, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, and represent the department and/or the county.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, and perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited college or university in health care administration, a public health field, a health science, nursing or any nursing specialty, or in a related health field such as life sciences or physical sciences, or in a management field such as public administration or business administration.
  • Two years of experience supervising and coordinating health services relevant to the program area, equivalent and comparable to the duties of the County's Health Program Coordinator.
Special Requirements

Some positions in this class may require licensure as a Registered Nurse, and the incumbent may be required to possess and maintain a current valid license issued by the State of California.
