Job Title: Senior Emergency Services Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Senior Emergency Services Coordinator will serve as a lead staff member with full responsibility for a wide range of programs within the California State Warning Center (CSWC). This includes serving as a lead for and providing training and oversight to the Emergency Notification Controller (ENC) and Emergency Services Coordinator (ESC) staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide situational awareness, analysis, and identifies emerging and near-term threats.
  • Analyze potential impacts and prepare, approve, and disseminate alert notifications as well as various situation reports.
  • Formulate possible courses of action and provide guidance to CSWC staff and make recommendations to the Executive Duty Officer and Executive Branch.
  • Coordinate and approve missions for state agency resources, and/or requests for federal resources, at the request of the Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) Region, Fire, Telecommunications, or Law Enforcement Branch, and at the direction of Cal OES Executive or Executive Duty Officer.

  • Experience in emergency management and homeland security.
