Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Plant Controller in various financial functions. This includes assisting with the monthly financial closing, analyzing actual results, and preparing internal reports along with short-term and long-term forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the period closing process, which involves the preparation and posting of journal entries while ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger and compliance with local regulations.
2. Apply GAAP accounting principles and adhere to company policies and procedures in a timely manner.
3. Prepare quarterly SEC reporting packages and conduct account reconciliations.
4. Collaborate with the Plant Controller in the budget preparation and the five-year planning process for the division.
5. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support the Plant Controller and Plant Staff.
6. Monitor and report financial performance to division and plant management, highlighting any variances that require corrective actions.
7. Work closely with department managers to control costs and research expense variances.
8. Assist in the annual update of standard costs and drive improvements in financial processes.
9. Conduct financial analysis related to capital projects, cost reduction initiatives, and other necessary tasks.
10. Support statutory reporting and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- An MBA and/or CPA designation is desirable.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with a preference for Manufacturing or Cost Accounting experience.

Required Skills:
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, as well as general ledger systems and forecasting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and understand its business implications.
- Excellent presentation and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative team player.

Desired Skills:
- Experience with Khalix and PeopleSoft is a plus.

Soft Skills:
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Essential Experience:
- Familiarity with the period closing process, including journal entry preparation and ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting principles and local regulations.
