The IT Risk Management Lead Analyst is responsible for defining and implementing the enterprise risk management framework across various business sectors within the organization. This role involves developing and articulating a strategic and objective perspective on enterprise risks within the context of American Family Insurance. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Risk Management, this position plays a crucial role in the organization.
This role offers flexibility, requiring a minimum of 10 days per month to be worked from designated office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently identify and assess risks to the organization, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of the enterprise's operations and the insurance sector.
- Innovate and enhance the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework processes to advance the risk management program.
- Lead complex risk assessment, management, and monitoring initiatives.
- Serve as the in-house expert on risk management, providing consultative services that include risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and oversee processes and tools that align with the enterprise's risk perspective and tolerance levels.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and teamwork.
- Create techniques, policies, and procedures for conducting and reporting risk assessments, analyses, and compliance audits.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of IT risk and control frameworks.
- Proven experience in conducting IT risk and control assessments.
- Experience presenting to senior management.
- In-depth understanding of risk management methodologies, standards, processes, governance models, and industry-standard risk analysis techniques, particularly in IT Risk Management and Information Systems Auditing.
- Broad knowledge of the insurance industry, including trends and adjacent sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate group discussions effectively.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects to completion.
