The Risk Management Lead Analyst is responsible for defining and implementing the enterprise risk management framework across various business units within the organization. This role involves developing and conveying a strategic perspective on enterprise risks within the context of American Family Insurance. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Risk Management.

This role allows for flexibility in the workplace, with a requirement to work a minimum of 10 days per month from designated office locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently identify and assess risks to the organization by leveraging a comprehensive understanding of the enterprise's operations and the insurance sector.
  • Innovate and enhance processes within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework to advance the organization's risk management program.
  • Lead complex risk assessment, management, and monitoring initiatives.
  • Serve as the organization's risk management authority, providing consultative services that include risk identification and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and oversee processes and tools that align with the enterprise's risk perspective and tolerance objectives.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and team efforts.
  • Create techniques, policies, and procedures for conducting and reporting risk assessments, analyses, and compliance audits.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT risk and control frameworks.
  • Proven experience in conducting IT risk and control assessments.
  • Experience presenting to senior management.
  • Thorough understanding of risk management methodologies, standards, processes, governance models, and industry-standard risk analysis techniques, particularly in IT Risk Management and Information Systems Auditing.
  • Broad knowledge of the insurance industry, including current trends and related sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate group discussions effectively.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects to completion.
