About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in Las Vegas, NV, as a Critical Power Sales Associate. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies for data center power solutions, working closely with clients to understand their needs and tailor our services accordingly.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power distribution and backup power, with proven experience selling Critical Power Solutions to enterprise data centers, colocation providers, and hyperscale companies. They will be responsible for creating sales approaches, developing new business, and maintaining existing client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Create effective sales strategies to maximize market potential for prospective customers
  • Develop new business opportunities and maintain existing client relationships in the Mission Critical Data Center space
  • Cold call new prospects, conduct RFP interviews, and manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing deals
  • Establish positive relationships with existing business partners to generate additional business
  • Maintain and review sales prospect pipelines and sales forecasts
  • Develop strategic relationships to drive sales opportunities
  • Develop and manage effective channel strategies from both sales and marketing perspectives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other technically related field, or equivalent work-related experience
  • At least five to ten years of sales experience selling to data centers, critical facilities, and critical power industries, preferably with OEM or Third Party Service company experience
  • Prior UPS OEM/3rd Party experience is a plus, especially with products from Emerson, Liebert, Vertiv, APC, MGE, Schneider, Eaton, Powerware, PDI, Toshiba, or Mitsubishi
  • An extensive network of relevant contacts in the data center industry, including Director of Facilities, Facilities Managers, Property Managers, Engineering Directors, and more
  • Contacts with engineering firms, general contractors, data center providers, construction companies, rep firms, and other relevant organizations
  • A proven ability to be a strategically focused sales leader with a repeatable sales strategy focused on selling value propositions
  • Member/attendee of local professional chapters/conferences (IEEE, 7x24 Exchange, Uptime Institute, DCD, Bisnow, AFCOM, iMasons)
  • Able to build long-term cooperative partner relationships with internal and external individuals involved in business development
  • Effective communicator with expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Prior military experience, especially in electrical/mechanical roles, is a huge plus
