Note: This position requires residency in Houston.

The role of a Business Solutions Analyst necessitates a blend of technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and customer engagement skills. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional communication abilities and be comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients and management.

The successful applicant should possess 3-4 years of practical experience in designing and implementing extensive, geographically dispersed systems, along with several years of providing application support to end users. Responsibilities will include designing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting business solutions, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and configuring applications for enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and implement business solutions for OpenText Content Server, OpenText Enterprise Scan, and OpenText Capture Center. (Training on OpenText will be provided)

Collaborate with third-party implementation partners to facilitate application deployment, configuration, training, and ongoing support post-deployment.

Generate comprehensive design, deployment, and support documentation for solutions and applications.

Provide after-hours and weekend support during critical situations.

  • Maintain an understanding of technological advancements and leverage this knowledge to propose solutions that enhance the competitive advantage of the supported business units.
  • Engage with business partners within a specific function to align technological solutions with strategic business objectives.
  • Support several moderately complex business processes.
  • Capable of operating at the highest technical level across most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of technology applications in current and future environments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline is mandatory. Equivalent professional experience in a related field may substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.

5+ years of experience in the IT sector within a large corporate or public sector organization.

3+ years of experience in developing and configuring applications for enterprise content management systems (e.g., OpenText, SharePoint, Onbase, FileBound, etc.).

Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying document-centric workflow solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements, document business process flows, and create use cases and user scenarios.
  • Proficient in creating test scripts and executing test plans.
  • Extensive experience in producing end-user documentation and providing guidance and mentorship to business users.
  • Familiarity with BPMN or other standard modeling notations.
  • Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Capacity to work independently while establishing positive working relationships with staff from other departments.
