Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments, perform phlebotomy, and maintain accurate records.
  • Assess patient signs and symptoms, and provide treatment accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Transport patients safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and respond to patient concerns in a timely manner.
Working Conditions

This role requires extensive safety training and exposure to blood-borne pathogens. You will work in a high-noise environment and be required to wear protective devices.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) or Certified Hemodialysis Practitioner/Technician (CHT) certification.
  • No specific work experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment.
  • Skills in bloodborne pathogens, dialysis, documentation, emergency response, and teamwork.
