Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

The individual in this role will undertake various responsibilities including Systems Administration, Property/Asset Management, Testing, and Configuration Management.

This position entails significant travel commitments.
System Administration:
Oversees the performance and effectiveness of computer systems operating on multiple platforms.
Ensures the security and integrity of servers and systems.
Maintains comprehensive system documentation.
Engages with users and assesses vendor offerings.
Coordinates the installation of hardware and software while ensuring backup recovery processes are in place.
Monitors compliance with policies and standards related to computing resources.
Participates in system testing and documents outcomes.
Provides guidance and training to end-users.
Stays updated on relevant technologies as assigned.
Monitors Incident Management System (IMS) and reports incidents as per directives.
Facilitates the resolution of aged tickets and ensures compliance with Incident Management policies.
Participates in special projects as required.

Property/Asset Management:

Implements and enhances systems, processes, and training necessary for the management and safeguarding of government and corporate assets; supervises designated staff.

Ensures timely acquisition, identification, documentation, maintenance, inventory, movement, and storage of assets.
Oversees the proper disposal of obsolete and excess items.
Participates in physical inventory assessments and provides quarterly reports.

Conducts periodic reviews to ensure that custodial organizations maintain and utilize property appropriately, with accurate record-keeping.


Testing:

The ideal candidate will assist in software testing, Quality Assurance (QA), and Configuration Management (CM) activities. Evaluates software products and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Develops testing procedures and conducts assessments.
Collaborates with software developers to understand requirements and establish testing criteria.
Follows QA release protocols and provides input to enhance installation documentation.
As needed, offers additional QA and CM support.

The expected salary range for this position is $68,705 - $92,952, based on experience and geographic location.
