Position Overview:
The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Cake Service Specialist is responsible for fostering a friendly and inviting atmosphere for our customers, providing innovative solutions for special occasions, and promoting our delightful cakes. As the initial point of contact for our brand, the Cake Service Specialist plays a crucial role in engaging with guests, ensuring a memorable experience, and leaving a positive, lasting impression.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Warmly welcomes both walk-in and phone customers with genuine enthusiasm to identify their needs, following NbC's service standards to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Maintains extensive product knowledge to inform customers about the unique qualities of NbC cakes, including size and flavor options, pricing, special offers, and complementary merchandise.
  • Recommends additional items such as balloons, candles, and greeting cards to enhance the celebration experience.
  • Efficiently processes customer orders using the point-of-sale system and encourages guests to join the NbC Email Club for exclusive promotions.
  • Ensures a clean and organized bakery environment, which includes routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Restocks retail merchandise and cake displays to maintain an appealing visual presentation.
  • Prepares cake and balloon orders according to customer specifications, adhering to NbC's decorating and presentation standards.
  • Manages workload effectively to ensure timely completion of all orders for pick-up or delivery, including walk-in requests.
  • Prepares cake decorations, packaging materials, and other supplies in advance to meet order demands.
  • Monitors inventory levels of cake-making supplies and alerts management when restocking is necessary.
  • Assesses finished cakes to ensure they meet NbC quality standards and reports any issues to management.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the workstation, ensuring all tools are ready for the next shift.
  • Assists the Guest Service Representative with walk-in customers and phone inquiries as needed.
  • Adheres to all health and safety regulations, as well as NbC policies, including dress code and personal hygiene standards.
  • Demonstrates consistent attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • While formal education or prior experience is not mandatory, experience in guest service within a bakery, restaurant, or retail setting is advantageous.
Availability:
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. We are accommodating and willing to work with your schedule.
