Job Summary

The Finance Grants Analyst plays a pivotal role in the financial management of grants and restricted donations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness throughout the grant lifecycle. This position is key to managing financial data, supporting stakeholders, and driving process improvements to optimize grant outcomes. Beyond grants management, the Analyst engages in a range of financial analyses, ad hoc reporting, projecting building, and other tasks that contribute to broader financial operations and strategic decision-making within the Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Integrity
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive single source of truth for each grant, ensuring all necessary grant-related information is captured and updated properly.
  • Collaborate with project managers and finance personnel to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial grant data leveraging multiple cross-disciplinary software applications.
  • Ensure grant updates flow through and establish a change management process.
Grant Cycle Management
  • Actively engage in all phases of the grant cycle, emphasizing financial compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and review financial requirements for grant applications and manage financial tracking throughout the grant lifecycle.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Develop, review, analyze, and distribute comprehensive, timely financial reporting during all phases of the grant lifecycle as needed by internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, public administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  2. Licensure: Not applicable.
  3. Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in a financial or related role, with a strong preference for grant management experience in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
  4. Skills: Advanced capabilities in financial and data analysis tools, such as Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with financial systems like Sage Intact.
  5. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to prioritize work with limited supervision, communicate financial results and policy in a clear and understandable format, and manage multiple priorities.
  6. Physical Effort: Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and twist while holding up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  7. Hours of Work: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with generally normal office hours.
  8. Travel: Travel to each center may be required.
