Job Summary:

We are currently seeking experienced Public Assistance Technical Experts to join our team. As a Public Assistance Technical Expert, you will work closely with local governments and community leaders to develop and implement disaster recovery plans, conduct site assessments and inspections, and provide technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site assessments and inspections of damaged infrastructure
  • Develop Damage Description and Dimensions (DDD) in Grants Manager
  • Provide technical assistance to local government officials and community leaders
  • Oversee the construction of disaster recovery projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in your field from an accredited university
  • At least 5 years of FEMA Public Assistance experience in disaster response and recovery
  • Professional licenses and certifications (such as P.E. license, PMP, etc.) are preferred
  • Experience working in commercial and public facilities, including roads, bridges, water/wastewater treatment facilities, schools, and municipal buildings
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
