Patient Care Associate

Job Summary:
As a Patient Care Associate - Psychiatry Specialist, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care to patients admitted to the inpatient psychiatry service. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily activities, provide emotional support, and help with therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Participate in therapeutic interventions, such as group activities and individual counseling sessions.
- Assist with the preparation and implementation of discharge plans.
- Act as a patient escort and provide transportation to and from medical appointments.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 2 years' experience working in law enforcement, nursing, or psychiatric/behavioral health.
- Venipuncture experience and EKG skills are a plus.
