Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic and geographically distributed team. This role is based on-site and involves occasional travel to support Supplier Quality initiatives. The selected candidate will play a key role in implementing Azure's risk mitigation strategies for printed circuit boards (PCBs) by collaborating with contract manufacturers, fabrication facilities, and external testing laboratories for independent circuit board assessments. In the event of failures, the engineer will lead investigations, coordinating with all involved parties to ensure thorough Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct trending analysis on quality issues and performance metrics.
- Perform supplier audits and qualifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supplier quality processes.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize quality management systems.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
- Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management System.
- Experience in the manufacturing processes of PCBs and PCB assemblies.
- Experience in inspection and testing of PCBs and PCB assemblies.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Experience in systematic problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
