Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our client's mergers and acquisitions (M&A) practice. This role is critical in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the law firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys and paralegals with M&A transactions by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Handle correspondence, including drafting and proofreading legal documents, letters, and memos related to M&A activities.
  • Maintain and organize files, both electronic and physical, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Conduct research on various M&A matters, including due diligence and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, verifying accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with billing and administrative tasks related to M&A projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal team members to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in transactional or M&A-related roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities, with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a solid understanding of proper grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Strong proofreading capabilities to ensure error-free documents.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
