Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a full-time position that requires excellent maintenance and repair skills, with a focus on ensuring the safety and functionality of our facilities.

About the Role:
As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, replacing light tubes/bulbs, fixtures, and electrical components, and moving furniture. You will also assist with monthly safety inspections, monitor and report any facility items needing addressed, and ensure all annual inspections are completed in a timely manner. Additionally, you will have knowledge of CARF and Licensure requirements for facilities and perform minor construction, demolition, and repair of walls when needed. Other duties include assisting with oil changes for facilities with center vehicles, participating in fire drills, and responding to emergency calls as required.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or GED, and three years' experience in building maintenance and/or construction. You must also have basic computer skills, be able to work independently, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills. A valid Tennessee driver's license and normal/corrected eyesight are also required. You will be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and climb ladders regularly. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be organized, and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position is $43,600 per year, based on relevant experience and education. This is a full-time 40-hour per week position, with some overtime required and an on-call schedule for emergencies. Travel between McNabb worksites is required, and a valid F endorsement is necessary.
