Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at US Foods, Inc.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet's diesel equipment, including tractors and trailers. They will ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations while maintaining detailed repair and maintenance logs.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with company standards.
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue services as needed.
- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or equivalent.
- Prior experience in administering PM programs and ensuring compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Computer and software experience, including ability to work with shop fax system.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 120-150 pounds and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
- A competitive salary of $26.00 per hour.
