**Overview of Fleet Maintenance Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Equipment Mechanic Specialist to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our fleet maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our road equipment.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience, with a strong background in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of diesel equipment. Alternatively, candidates with 2 years of diesel mechanic experience and TK or Refrigeration certification may also be considered.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, and lift gates
- Perform preventative maintenance according to company standards
- Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to workplace safety rules and regulations
**Requirements:**
- 3+ years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience, or 2+ years with TK or Refrigeration certification
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends
