Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist

As a seasoned Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of diesel equipment. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining tractors, trailers, and other road-going vehicles.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is $26.00 per hour, plus benefits starting on day one. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and more. Additionally, eligible new hires will receive a $5,000 retention bonus.
Job Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities as a Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist will include:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, rebuilding, replacing, and completing all required repairs on diesel equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance within company standards.
- Completing documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
- Handling road service calls and performing road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience, or 2 years of diesel mechanic experience with TK or Refrigeration certification.
- Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
- Independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience administering appropriate PM programs.
- Familiarity with EPA and OSHA regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and drivers.
- Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Computer and software experience.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, and willingness to work overtime when needed.
