Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled MT-Javanese-Linguist to participate in our Corpus Creation Project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of bilingual language data sets that will be used to train and build language models.
Key Responsibilities:- Translate sentences from Javanese to English and vice versa
- Transcribe audio content into Javanese
- Assess and improve the quality of transcribed/translated sentences
- Record yourself reading sentences in English and Javanese
- Native speaker of Javanese with excellent language proficiency
- Ability to translate written English sentences accurately into Javanese and vice versa
- Excellent attention to detail and grasp of spelling and grammar rules in Javanese
- Availability to work at least 15 hours per week over 3-4 months
Payment is made based on the quality of texts, with a base rate of $0.30 per sentence. Quality assurance tasks are remunerated at $0.22 per sentence, and sentences that receive top quality scores will receive a bonus on top of the base rate. Improvements to sentences also receive additional remuneration of $0.03 for every confirmed improvement.
