Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Tyler Technologies. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing data ingress strategies that support our Data & Insights solutions.

Our Data & Insights solutions enable public sector organizations to share data with their audiences, internal employees, and other agencies. You will work closely with cross-divisional partners to design and implement data warehouse solutions in AWS, leveraging your expertise in cloud computing platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage data warehouse solutions in AWS
  • Lead collaborations with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements
  • Create high-level project plans and technical documentation
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across all data stores and pipelines
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reliable, and scalable data models and pipelines
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members
  • Write and refactor existing code for performance and clarity

Requirements:

  • Relevant work experience in data engineering and cloud computing
  • Strong familiarity with cloud computing platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with developing data lake architecture
  • Familiarity with Terraform for deploying and maintaining infrastructure
  • Advanced data transformations using ETL tools in languages such as Scala, Java, or Python
  • Ability to create and optimize advanced SQL queries
  • Familiarity with REST web frameworks
  • Ability to communicate at both a technical and business level

We offer a competitive salary range of $93,547 - $110,000, depending on location and experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness programs, to support your overall well-being.
