Position Overview:
As an ABA Technician / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a crucial role in supporting children diagnosed with autism through the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. At Verbal Beginnings, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive training for individuals eager to learn about ABA therapy and to foster a nurturing environment for children.
Work Schedule, Location, and Compensation:
Schedule:
Sessions are typically conducted 3-5 days a week for 2-3 hours, primarily during after-school hours from 3 PM to 8 PM.
Location:
Sessions are held in the child's natural surroundings, which may include their home, community, or school.
Compensation:
Hourly wage of $29.00, commensurate with experience and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Behavior Technician (BT)/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), your daily activities will include:
Working under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to execute personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing communication, behavior, feeding, activities of daily living (ADLs), and social skills.
Collecting and documenting data to track the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborating with the clinical supervisor to make necessary adjustments.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to assist children with autism in reaching their objectives.
A genuine interest in learning about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy.
The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with others.
A High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) is preferred.
Experience working with children is advantageous.
A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are necessary.
Completion or proof of completion of the 40-Hour RBT course is required; Verbal Beginnings will provide this course for those who need it.
