Millennium Health LLC is a certified specialty laboratory with over ten years of expertise in medication monitoring and drug testing services. We assist healthcare providers in overseeing the use of prescribed medications and illicit substances, contributing to better clinical decision-making for millions of individuals facing chronic pain, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders.

Role Overview:
The Clinical Specimen Technician II plays a vital role at Millennium Health. As a representative of our organization, this position is responsible for delivering outstanding care and exceptional service to patients, healthcare providers, and our laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens from patients.
  • Process and package specimens for shipping.
  • Act as a liaison between the clinic and the laboratory.
  • Document patient details, physician orders, and relevant laboratory information.
  • Address specimen-related issues concerning billing or patient information in the ordering system.
  • Manage and maintain the inventory of collection supplies on-site.
  • Oversee specimen collection for Millennium Health (when applicable).
  • Travel between multiple facilities may be necessary, including occasional overnight coverage.

Candidate Profile:
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in a healthcare setting, directly assisting patients preferred.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience may substitute for medical experience.
  • Proficient in using smartphones and computers.
  • Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Familiarity with medical insurance/billing and medications/diagnostic codes is advantageous.
  • Commitment to adhering to HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality, and compliance policies.
  • Ability to uphold administrative, physical, and technical cybersecurity standards.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
