Experience Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to join our team.

**Schedule:**

* Full-time: 7am-3pm
* Part-time: 3pm-11pm

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide medication reminders and assistance according to state regulations.
* Administer medications as allowed by state guidelines.
* Order and receive medication, ensuring all medications are available for administration and communicating with the pharmacy if they are not.
* Prioritize tasks to ensure optimal services to residents as requests and needs change.
* Maintain resident records in our digital platform daily, including medication distribution, incidents, and observations, reporting any changes in residents' physical and/or behavioral condition.
* Perform room visits and room checks on a regular basis.
* Assist with resident care when needed.
* Respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull cords, telephone calls, and requests from family and friends.
* Monitor the safety and well-being of residents, communicating any changes to the Director of Health and Wellness or Wellness Nurse on duty.
* Audit and check rooms for medications residents are self-administering and ensure compliance to guidelines.
* Maintain open communication with supervisor and/or peers to promote awareness of resident issues.
* May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

**Requirements:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Medication certification as required by state guidelines.
* Must successfully complete the ESL medication competency upon hire and as required by state regulation at a minimum.
* First Aid and CPR Certification if required by state law and/or Company standards.
* Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Able to speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization.
* Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
* Appearance is neat, clean, and according to dress code.

* Able to clearly present information through the spoken word, read and interpret complex information, speak with residents, family members, and customers, and listen well.

* Able to be tactful, maintain confidences, and foster an ethical work environment, prevent inappropriate behavior by coworkers, give proper credit to others, and handle all situations honestly.
* Able to keep an open mind and change opinions based on new information, perform a variety of tasks, and change focus quickly as demands change, manage transitions effectively from task to task, and adapt to varying customer needs.
* Ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
