As a Medical Assistant on our Med Surg Unit, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with our policies and procedures.

You will assist the healthcare team in coordinating, prioritizing, and communicating patient, physician, and staff needs, while assuming personal accountability for our organization's mission and core values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks directly supervised by a Registered Nurse
  • Providing person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members
  • Assisting the care team in achieving daily patient and family goals
  • Providing quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs
  • Promptly triaging and responding to patient call lights

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified Nursing Assistant - State Registered
  • BLS certification credentialed from the American Heart Association
