Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant/Referral Coordinator to join our team at OnPoint Family Medicine: Parker Square. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care and facilitating referrals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist providers during examinations and treatments, performing point-of-care tests as needed.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
  • Coordinate referrals and schedule appointments with patients, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless referral processing and patient care.
  • Perform administrative duties, including patient registration, verification of benefits, and insurance authorizations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; accredited healthcare program or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Nationally recognized certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with EMR systems a must.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain accurate records.
