About the Role:
Are you passionate about enhancing security in innovative technology environments? The Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) is seeking a seasoned Corporate Security Engineer to collaborate with corporate administration and engineering teams to fortify our security posture. Your expertise will be pivotal in integrating security protocols using SecOps methodologies into our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development and enhancement of our security vulnerability management initiatives, addressing both proactive measures (such as audits) and reactive strategies (including patching policies and CVE tracking).
- Establish a comprehensive security framework encompassing processes and training to embed security best practices within the organization.
- Formulate robust security policies in partnership with various teams to ensure adherence to best practices at SDF.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in security tools, processes, and documentation.
- Oversee security evaluations of third-party vendors, assessing the risk associated with their products and integrations.
- Design and implement security solutions for network systems, ensuring alignment with evolving cybersecurity standards.
- Collaborate closely with IT and engineering teams to conduct security analyses utilizing SIEM tools and vulnerability assessments.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise corporate security or a related field.
- Proficient understanding of access control and identity management systems.
- Experience with network protocols and secure network architecture.
- Demonstrated expertise in corporate security policy development and familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks.
- Strong analytical capabilities with hands-on experience in SIEM tools such as Splunk, vulnerability analysis, and risk assessments.
- Ability to coordinate security initiatives and lead technical aspects of security audits.
- Experience in creating and executing security training programs for the organization.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing technical solutions to enhance security measures.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Consulting experience with external vendors is a plus.
- Familiarity with MITRE, NIST, and OWASP frameworks is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience contributing to open-source projects.
- Active involvement in the cryptocurrency community.
- Familiarity with security solutions such as SIEM tooling, Wazuh, and Jamf.
- Experience in policy development and collaboration with executive-level stakeholders.
