Role Overview
The Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing and managing information security projects, ensuring the adoption of security protocols and frameworks across the organization. This role focuses on compliance, policy adherence, and safeguarding the company's digital assets. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory compliance, along with strong project management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Implement Infosec Projects: Lead the design, implementation, and management of security projects, ensuring they meet the organization's security requirements and standards.
  • Audit and Enforce Security Protocols: Ensure the adoption and integration of industry-standard security protocols and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) across all technology surfaces.
  • Ensure Compliance and Policy Adherence: Monitor and enforce compliance with security policies, regulations, and best practices. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks. Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the organization's information assets.
  • Incident Response: Develop and maintain an incident response plan. Lead the response to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Security Awareness and Training: Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with IT, engineering, legal, and other departments to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on implementing security protocols and frameworks. Proficiency in risk management, compliance, and policy enforcement.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPN, encryption, and authentication methods.
  • Compliance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of security compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage security projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to security standards.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
