The operational hours for the Nuclear Medicine department are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays. The early closure on Fridays allows staff to engage in necessary training and administrative tasks.

Most employees typically conclude their work between 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM on Fridays.

There are no night shifts or weekend duties required.

Position Responsibilities:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for:

  • Conducting diagnostic tests by preparing and administering radioactive substances to patients, using advanced imaging technology.
  • Explaining procedures to patients and addressing any inquiries.
  • Ordering radiopharmaceuticals and performing quality control measures.
  • Calculating and documenting radiation dosages as per physician directives.
  • Maintaining safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Collaborating with external organizations to communicate essential information.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess:

  • An Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology (Bachelor's preferred).
  • A valid New Mexico State License for Nuclear Medicine.
  • Certification as CNMT or ARRT (N).
  • Advanced technical skills relevant to the role.
  • The ability to work independently and knowledge of federal regulations.
