Environmental Specialist

CDM Smith is a leading provider of water and environmental solutions, with a commitment to protecting and enhancing water quality standards. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist or Water Resource Engineer to join our team in the Northeast United States.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering, with experience in developing industrial pretreatment programs and limits. The successful candidate will work closely with municipal clients throughout the Country, conducting studies, developing technical documentation, and providing procedures to protect Publicly Owned Treatment Works.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop industrial pretreatment programs and limits for municipal clients;
- Conduct studies and develop technical documentation to protect Publicly Owned Treatment Works;
- Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to client requests;
- Meet with current and potential clients to review their design needs;
The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members. A bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or a related discipline is required, along with certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within 18 months of hire.

- 5 years of related experience;
- Expert knowledge of computer-assisted design and drafting (CADD) software and practices;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
