Safety Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:

347 Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Safety Compliance Specialist to join our team in the El Paso County area. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with our company safety program and incident prevention efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Safety Director in risk management, identifying potential hazards, recommending corrective action, employee safety training, and emergency response procedures.
  • Perform and document job site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company safety standards.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety and health requirements, including regular audits and training.
  • Manage site safety documentation, including incident reports, safety meetings, and training records.
  • Participate in safety pre-construction meetings to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Facilitate mass safety meetings and require weekly tailgate safety meetings to promote a culture of safety.
  • Compile materials for safety meetings, prepare agendas, and record meeting minutes to ensure effective communication.
  • Support the activities of the local health and safety committee to promote a safe working environment.
  • Effectively manage problem prevention strategies to limit reactionary practice and promote a proactive approach to safety.
  • Heavy traveling throughout El Paso County is required, with a company truck provided for business use.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and some college education preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Telecom Construction Safety Compliance.
  • OSHA 30 certification required, OSHA 500 or 510 preferred.
  • Additional safety certifications a plus.
  • Valid Driver License with a clean record (Class A CDL preferred).
  • Knowledge of Fall Protection and MUTCD standards, and DOT regulations.
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use MS Office with proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to write clear and concise thoughts in a professional manner.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish desired.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to submit and pass a pre-hire and random drug test.
