Investigative Engineer Opportunity

American Structurepoint is seeking a skilled Investigative Engineer to join our Indianapolis Design Center. As a member of our Investigative Group, you will assist senior staff in performing forensic investigations and developing designs to repair or restore structures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting forensic investigations of damage and deterioration structures
  • Develop designs to repair or restore existing wood, masonry, concrete, and steel structures
  • Write technical reports and utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit to produce digital drawings and models
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering school
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience preferred
  • Engineering intern certification (passed NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering {FE} exam) highly preferred
  • Reliable transportation to and from office location
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and try new things
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability/willingness to climb ladders and scaffolding, work from heights, walk roofs, access crawl spaces, and other areas of limited accessibility
